On October 20, 1877, “Beaver Creek recently constituted was received as a constituent member of the Orangeburg Baptist Association and Rev. J.S. Hayden recognized as a delegate.”
1878In October 1878, Beaver Creek was “In Peace.” It had 27 members. It baptized one member that year, and had four preaching days. J.C. Chavis, J.A. Tager, and J.R. Ash are listed as delegates of Beaver Creek. Rev. J.S. Hayden was appointed to the committee for letters and minutes and as a messenger to the sister Association for Lexington. C.W. Gleaton was the superintendent for Sunday school that met every Sunday. The church gave 80 cents for the Minutes.
