What is Church Membership?

Church membership is a formal commitment to a local body of believers, affirming your dedication to grow in faith, serve alongside others, and contribute to the mission of the church. At Beaver Creek Baptist Church, membership signifies that you have aligned yourself with our beliefs, values, and mission to glorify God and share His love with the world.

What is Baptism?

Is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and marks the believer’s identification with Him. It is an essential step in your spiritual walk and a command given by Christ for all believers.

The Process:

Membership

To become a member, you will attend a membership class where we explain the church's mission, beliefs, and expectations. Afterward, you will be welcomed into our church family through a membership covenant.

Baptism

To be baptized, you must have personally accepted Jesus as your Savior. Our pastor will meet with you to discuss the significance of baptism and prepare you for this special moment. Baptisms are typically held during church services.

Who can be baptized?

Anyone who has made a personal commitment to follow Christ is eligible to be baptized.

What should I wear for baptism?

Wear dark, modest clothing that won’t become see-through when wet. A loose-fitting T-shirt and shorts or pants are ideal. Avoid white or light-colored clothing. Bring a change of clothes, including undergarments, as well as a plastic bag for wet items.

Do I need to be re-baptized?

We believe baptism is a one-time event to publicly declare your faith in Christ. If you were baptized as a believer, you do not need to be baptized again.

If you feel led by God to be rebaptized as a fresh expression of your faith, that is a choice you can make prayerfully.

If you're unsure, our pastor or church leader will be happy to provide clarity based on their understanding of Scripture and your unique circumstances.
